The efficient management of urban solid waste has become a fundamental challenge for local governments, driven by the growing concern of citizens. This concern ranges from the impact on climate change and public health to environmental pollution and social and tourism implications.
At the same time, the market continually offers new technologies to face these challenges. Although promising, many of them are not easily accessible to local budgets in Argentina. Against this backdrop, our updated course proposes a comprehensive approach to waste management, highlighting the importance of citizen participation, the collaboration of various social sectors, the effective coordination of local authorities and the adoption of appropriate and accessible technologies.
This course seeks to offer a dynamic and updated training space, where participants can learn, interact and take advantage of the successful experiences of multiple Argentine municipalities that are members of the Argentine Network of Municipalities against Climate Change.
Days: Thursday February 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 / Monday February 5, 12, 19, 26, and March 4.

The course is aimed at training municipal agents, officials, personnel from provincial environmental areas, professionals, students and teachers of related careers on the topic of comprehensive management of urban solid waste, as well as the general public interested in this topic.
